In 2015, when our youngest daughter was diagnosed with Autism, I dove head first into navigating life with a child who had special needs. Walking along side her as we worked to secure care, a strong IEP and therapies necessary to help her grow, I decided that if another parent didn't have to struggle as I did, her journey was worth it.
Taking classes, attending Partners in Policymaking and advocating at the local and state level, I found that I wanted to make a difference in the lives of children just like mine.
